I was browsing through Billy Davis’ Gallery the other day and was trying to visualize the scenery of Rum Cay where the photos were taken. The beaches must have taken his breath away, the natural, serene town and surroundings with the ocean waves in the background would have been calming, while the soft, bahamian breeze cooled him as it blew by. I thought to myself that his photographs are amazing but the view and the experience of the secluded island, one of the few left in the world, are moments to remember. I created these two Rum Cay videos with the photographs from Billy’s Gallery to try and capture the experience of being ON Rum Cay rather than just looking at pictures. I hope these videos delight and please leave comments if you enjoyed them!
